Flying Time: Today: 1:00 Total: 5:24
I flew again after a month away on Sunday and despite only 4 hours of training I was able to pick up fairly easily - this was quite gratifying at this stage, although I guess
Had a different instructor as my usual one was away for a month, which made for some differences, as well as the fact this was really a revision lesson rather than specifically covering anything new. Was quite pleased to find that the new instructor’s teaching style fitted in with my way of doing things - having said that she had a no-name brand headset that was *extremely* uncomfortable on my head and suffered from a bizarre compatability issue - I was unreadable on the radio but the intercom was working just fine.

Still, we took our place in the line and settled down to that great British pastime of sitting in a queue doing bugger-all.
Eventually we get in and settle (eventually) for some seats on the balcony area, which gave us a reasonable view. Unfortunately the acoustics up there weren’t as great as they supposedly were downstairs - but hey-ho… Eventually Neil and his cohorts came on to rousing cheers and applause…only to go straight into a very unfamiliar song. This is of course the problem with gigs to promote new albums - getting the balance right between old and new material.
